v0 Pricing: What a Dollar of Credit Buys

Published Updated 4 min readBy Vibe Coding Intel editorial

Compiled from official docs and public sources, checked .

The short answer: v0 has a free plan with $5 of credit a month and a 7-message daily limit, Plus at $30 per user a month with $30 of credit, and Business at $100 per user with the same $30 of credit. A credit is a dollar of model usage, so the cost of a request depends on which model you pick and how much code goes in and out. The $90 you may see struck through beside Plus is not a price, and the old $20 Premium plan is being sunsetted.

The plans

From v0’s pricing page and docs, checked 29 September 2026. Prices are USD and exclude taxes.

PlanPriceMonthly creditAlso
Free$0$57 messages a day
Plus$30 per user a month$30 per user$2 of free daily credit on login; buy extra credit
Business$100 per user a month$30 per user$2 daily credit; training opt-out by default; buy extra credit
EnterpriseCustomCustomEverything in Business plus data privacy guarantees
Premium (legacy)$20 a month$20Docs say it is being sunsetted

The Plus card shows $30 next to a struck-through $90. The page does not explain the $90, and we treat $30 as the price. Business costs $100 for the same $30 of credit as Plus, so the difference is the plan’s other features, not the allowance.

The model rate card

v0 says the tokens per credit “depend on the model.” The pricing page lists the rates per million tokens:

ModelInputOutput
v0 Mini$0.20$1.20
v0 Pro$2$10
v0 Max$5$25
v0 Max Fast$10$50

Cache reads and writes are priced separately, from $0.25 write and $0.02 read on Mini to $12.50 and $1 on Max Fast. We leave caching out below.

What one request costs

This table is our arithmetic, not a v0 figure. Assumption: one request sends 20,000 tokens of context in and gets 4,000 tokens of code out, with no cache discount. Change the numbers for your own project; the method is input tokens times the input rate plus output tokens times the output rate.

ModelCost per requestRequests from $5 (Free)Requests from $30 (Plus)
Miniabout $0.009about 570about 3,400
Pro$0.0862375
Max$0.2025150
Max Fast$0.401275

On the Free plan the 7-message daily limit (about 210 a month) binds first on Mini; on the other models the $5 runs out before the limit does. Real requests vary widely with project size, which is why v0 publishes rates and not a count.

Expiry and top-ups

Per the docs, unused monthly credits roll over and expire after 65 days; purchased credits expire one year after purchase. Premium, Plus and Business can buy more credit at any time. The price per extra credit is not stated on the pricing page, so we cannot say whether top-ups cost more than the plan’s own credit. Plus users also get $2 of daily credit on login.

At zero

The docs say “generation pauses” when credits run out. What happens to a deployed app is not covered in the pages we read; see what happens when builder credits run out.

A price that changed

Vercel announced the move from message counts to token metering on 13 May 2025. Older articles quoting “messages per month” describe the earlier model. We have no data on whether metering raised or lowered any one user’s bill.

Where to go next

Compare units with Lovable vs Bolt vs v0; if v0 does not fit, read v0 alternatives; for the tool itself, the v0 review. Bolt’s equivalent is Bolt.new pricing and tokens, and every builder sits in the pricing index.

Method

Researched from v0’s pricing page, docs and the Vercel announcement on 29 September 2026. We have not run v0 and measured nothing. The per-request table is arithmetic from published rates under a stated assumption. Re-checked every 30 days.
